When women talk to me about healthy eating they often describe a guilt based system of good food and bad food, where the “good” choices are tasteless and yucky. But that’s not what healthy eating actually is. Yes, you need fruits and vegetables and whole plant foods. But you also need fats and protein. And pleasure.
Healthy eating is flexible and includes a variety of foods, even those not individually high in nutritional value.
The bottom line is to find a way of eating that agrees with your body and lifestyle, gives you enjoyment, and provides adequate nutrition.
